Top Ten Chicago Sports Disappointments of 2008 (skip number 5 and 6 because who really cares about the white sox)

My football teams completed the trifecta this weekend--the three teams I care about, The Chicago Bears, The New England Patriots and of course, the Boston College Eagles all won this weekend, two of them fairly substantially. 

But I still can't help complaining, because I was really going for a quad-fecta or whatever the 4-part version of a trifecta would be...I really wanted my fantasy football team to win too, but alas, that would be too many stars aligned for one weekend. Instead  my fantasy team lost. Again. I loose a lot, pretty much always actually. I've given up on my team and I just basically drop half the players each week and pick up whoever's playing well. I've won more games (a grand total of 2) doing that than sticking with my original draftees....But part of it just bad luck. I lost two games by one point, and three games by less than 6 points. In fact, I just lost to someone who never watched football before this year (yes Laura, that's you) but she had the foresight (blind luck) to pick Matt Forte in the draft. 

But I'm not bitter or anything. 

I'm not counting down the days until next year's draft or anything.

So I'm a big Obama fan...met him in Chicago a few months before he spoke at the 2004 DNC and he was awesome--pretty much just the way he seems every time he speaks.

BUT, I do have one MAJOR problem with the guy...he's a White Sox fan and he's said some not so nice things about Cubs fans. In an ESPN interview he joked about the Cubs fan stereotype of not being serious fans and just going to Wrigley for the beer...I mean I guess it would seem a little sketchy if a hard-core south side guy claimed to be a Cubs fan, but it's still a little painful to see photos of him in Sox gear...
